Katie Bingaman, LCSW

Katie Bingaman, Katie Bingaman Therapist, Katie Bingaman LCSW
I believe successful therapy comes down to two factors: an excellent therapist-client relationship, and an environment where you can grow.
In Therapy, You Will...explore the relationship between past and present, deconstructing unhelpful ideas and beliefs along the way. You will uncover and build on your own unique gifts in order to develop a toolkit for thriving. Using a combination of exploratory conversations and more technique-heavy interventions, we will work together to achieve powerful shifts in perspectives and behavior.
In Terms of My Style...I try to show up the way I ask my clients to: authentic and engaged. My style is tender without being squishy, challenging yet nurturing. My clients describe me as warm and deeply attuned. I take this work seriously—myself not so much. In our sessions, you’ll feel as comfortable as you do while having a cup of coffee with your best friend, and still confident that I will uphold the highest standards of professionalism and care.
When Out of Office...you'll find me getting my hands dirty in the garden, trying to PR my crossword times, (thinking about) meditating, hunting for the best slice of pizza in town, and taking day trips from the Blue Ridge to the Bay with my husband and daughter.

I believe that being a human is complex, difficult, and rewarding work. Let’s get started!
